  • Huge congratulations to the BSKA team that entered the EIKT this weekend, securing joint 3rd place after a 3-3 draw with Edinburgh Mavericks. We had big wins along the way against Brighton Uni, Glasgow, Snakebite, Bristol Thunder and Northern Storm. We only lost to one team all weekend, a strong Midlands side, and even secured a draw against eventual tournament winners, the Dutch Student team. Thank you to The Edinburgh International Korfball Tournament organisers, Ed Uni, and to all teams who attended. Massive well done to all players, everyone scored and contributed enormously in attack and defence! Enormously proud of you all! 💪🇬🇧️ Boys: Laurie Fabian, Kristopher Banham, Paul Samhyon Kim, Sam Galvin and John Bagnall Girls: Clarissa Price, Rhiannon Roberts, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Jessica L Maguire and Ellen Dowie Quality.

  • It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce the BSKA International Trophy will be returning for a second year this coming June and with it comes a special surprise! The tournament will again be held at UEA Sportspark, Norwich on 23-24 June 2018. Following the success of last year's tournament, the executive committee were very keen to bring the tournament back and show again the strength of student korfball within the United Kingdom. The tournament aims to bring together the top korfball players from both the United Kingdom and worldwide to compete against the best student players in the country. Last year provided top competition and quality games throughout both days and we are confident that this year will be equally successful. As an extra bonus, this year we have taken the decision not just to enter both student teams but will also be offering a place, free of charge, to whomever is crowned BUCS National Champions in March! We are very proud of the progress that all the student clubs have made in recent years and want to give the student champions a chance to compete at a marquee event! This is an opportunity not to be missed and we hope provides all student clubs with a little extra incentive in their preparation for BUCS competition. Any national senior, student or youth side as well as any regional side is eligible to compete in this competition. At this time we would like to ask any parties who would be interested in competing in the event to please email John Bagnall at studentkorfball@gmail.com expressing their interest by no later than January 8th 2018. We will then select 5 teams from all interested parties to fill the remaining places in the competition. Please note that to ensure this tournament is as successful as it possibly can be we do require an entry fee of £300 from the teams who are selected to compete. We do strongly believe that the tournament represents excellent value for money and are confident all teams who compete will both enjoy themselves and find it valuable experience. There will also be bleachers for spectators so even if you are not planning on competing, come down and support!
